This is great! However now all system admins loose the capability to add/remove users from the projects which is quite detrimental to our companies workflow if you can only assign one project member to edit permissions AND admins can't add them either. previously admins could add/remove users even if they weren't the owner and this had nothing to do with the project settings as the project was set to "allow only project owners to add people"

Is there a way to use read-only for external approvers?

I see that this was released today, but I do have a suggestion to improve this feature.... currently I have users that only need to read info, leave comments, and give approvals.... but with the new feature, Read Only permissions does NOT let us set up approvals from those users. Is there any way that can be changed? Or maybe a 3rd Tier of permissions added to allow users to give approvals and leave feedback in proofs, but not mess with custom fields, descriptions, or action titles?
Or even better, let the project manager/owner create unique permission levels based on what certain teams within their org need to be able to do or not do.
Also find it strange that Read Only users can add attachments when they leave a comment but cannot drag and drop attachments on their own, it must be through the comments box. Not a deal breaker but a bit annoying since some people have gotten used to dragging and dropping and THEN leaving a comment.

Agree with everyone here. Am trying to give external clients access to the board so that they can see progress, but CANNOT edit anything.
This is in lieu of exporting projects for a client-friendly view, since Hive does not offer this (at least not very well).

We need to be able to set permissions for users. I do not want users to be able to change dates, predecessors, durations, etc. Need to set protocol levels.

We need to set permissions for specific users so that some users cannot edit dates, predecessors but can still action the cards.

Updating my previous comment to give more information: We request the following: We also would like Permissions that allow for an external user to ONLY comment and mark an action as complete (nothing else).
