Pulse/Hive Analytics ability to make more widgets available

It is 'frustrating' that you cannot set up pulse alerts for key areas like 'Overdue actions by Person' and/or 'Overdue actions by project' (both widgets under the 'Team Productivity' option).
We need more governance and oversight functions in Hive to make it easier to alert us when projects go astray e.g. under the project home page you see a summary of overdue, un-started, completed tasks it would be good to see this level of detail in other views (by either project or person) say in portfolio view or some other governance functionality.

Is there a way to increase visibility of these types of request - I am surprised others don't need this type of functionality for oversight.

I would like to generate a "pulse" when a project reaches 80% of the estimated hours. So more control on alerts for specific projects and not at the individual user basis.
