Notifications difference between read vs unread is too subtle

The background color on unread notifications used to stand out more, it was changed to a color too close to the read. I see for the unread notifications currently, the title is bolded and there's a blue dot, but it's still very easy to miss when I'm skimming my notifications. From a UX perspective, it would make more sense if the background color on the unread notification was a darker color, and the read one was white.

If you do make a change, please make sure it work for BOTH light and dark themes. The dark version is fine to my eyes, but the light has a completely wrong UX

I thought I was losing it. Yes, please. Dark background (+bold title) for unread, white bg (+reg weight title) for read. It's been very confusing.
And maybe making the bolded title blue will help? But that's less urgent, just would make it more obvious.

The change has made it super hard to differentiate between read and unread - and super difficult for low vision users. This is truly impacting our day-to-day work flow. Please change it back to the way it was originally.

Agreed, this has been surprisingly jarring and hard to adjust to!

They are now shaded the opposite of what they've been previously and it's making things extra challenging for our team. Please put it back the way it was!

I agree. I feel like the layout keeps changing. At some point in the last few days, the action title was no longer cut off, which I loved.
