Users need to know when an action card or subaction has been assigned to them. On mac, there should be an icon bounce when new action cards have been assigned to the specific user while the application has been minimized/closed/inactive. In addition to this, there would be a sound notification that would go off signifying an action card has been assigned to the user. The sound should be unique to the Hive application as to not mix up with other system notification sounds/pings. This is a common UX that many messenger services also have (ie. Slack, Outlook, etc.), if reference is required.

This is marked as complete, but on Windows 10 there is no indication beyond a tiny, barely audible "bloop" sound that there is a new comment or action or message I should attend to. The tile on my taskbar doesn't highlight or show any number indication like other apps do, and the notification sound is barely audible compared to other apps.

This would be super helpful for team responsiveness and engagement. Normally on apps, if there is a waiting message for you, or waiting notification of any kind, you will have the tray tab highlighted (Windows) or with a dot and bouncing (Mac) to let you know to check it.
Since Hive doesn't have that feature, we find that it is difficult to keep our team on top of the notifications since they have to actively check the app to see if they might have some notification, rather than noticing that there is one pending while they are working on something else.

A visual and audio notification would be appreciated. I've seen this with other platforms and tools as a valuable UX feature and benefit.

Yes, totally agree. New actions cards assigned also get lost in the notifications so some sort of alert would be awesome at the top of "my actions" also.

John Furneaux: Understood, we will have to hope for some unique audio branding for Hive actions instead. Per Basma: I think more than anything, a sound notification would be GREAT. I miss hot cards sometimes while working on lower priority cards because I’m just not always looking at Hive.
