Customize notifications per project

As a manager, I'm on over 50 projects and am receiving many desktop notifications. Ideally I’d love to set notifications to be customized on the project level if not just the individual actions assigned to myself. It would be nice to toggle which projects you get notifications for, as well as a radio button to selection “only notify me of assignments I’m assigned to, following, or all project actions. “

I second this. We need to invite a broad group, because sometimes people get pulled in, often at odd hours so PM can't "add" person to project. in prior platform we used, one could "snooze" all notifications for "specific selected" projects. thus able to access the folder and it's contents when pulled in, but weren't bothered with notifications.

Opt in and out of notifications you actually need

While it's nice to turn notifications on and off, I find it necessary to actually filter out the content that I'm notified on.
Example:
This is my personal preference for my role, but I'm sure others would like to customize their own, too.
I would not need a notification for every time:
- Someone set/changed/removed a deadline
- Someone added a subaction
- Someone deleted/archived an action
- Someone changed the status of an action
- Someone assigned an action to someone
- Someone set the estimate on an action
I would appreciate only receiving notifications when:
- Someone commented on an action
- Someone tagged me in a comment
- Someone marked an action as completed
I know FB has that type of option in the 'overflow' menu that allows you to "stop seeing notifications like this" and that would honestly be life changing at this point.
I don't think I'll ever get lower than the 99+ status otherwise, ha!

Being able to select "Only notify me when I am @ mentioned or direct messaged" would be huge for me (as well as the other filters the poster mentioned above). Right now there are so many notifications that being notified is essentially meaningless.

This could be enhanced to incorporate Project notifications as well -- opt in and out of being added to a project, etc.

I want to be able to browse projects that my team is involved in, but there are only a couple of projects that I need active notifications about. I'd like to be able to silence all the other projects.

I agree with and certainly vote for this.
Perhaps a home or overview screen - along the same lines as Outlook when it shows you an overview of appointments for the day, unread emails etc, It would be great to be able to have an overview of your projects or team projects, a list of tasks assigned to you due to be delivered this week and next, in addition to the other suggestions on this thread.

I agree. In addition, the ability to filter your notifications to clearly identify @mentions and the response to an approval request. For example, a filter option to say "due date", @mention, "Ready to work on", "Assigned new action" etc. One thing people see a lot and don't care about is if I shift the entire project timeline, they don't care to see every action that has changed, so the ability to filter that out would be helpful to my team. When an approval request is sent, it triggers a separate email, but the response does not. When something is returned it does not become evident on your My Actions screen it is waiting on you.

Yes, please! To add to this idea, it'd be great to have a way to control when notifications are sent. (i.e. instant, hourly, daily summary, weekly summary)
