It minimizes the human error of having to remember to add certain users to a project.

Not just see, but edit also. This just got more important now that all public projects require the admin to be added to the project to edit. I had to contact all my team members and have them add me to all the projects so I could support them with organization.

Hello Everyone!
We have released a feature in workspace settings which allows teams to be added to new projects by default. We recommend you create an 'Admin' team and use this setting to allow admins access to all projects.
As Josh mentioned, it's very possible that some projects in Hive contain sensitive HR or other related information and giving admins access to this information without explicitly informing the user or allowing them to revoke access could cause an issue.
If this setting does not solve your current problem, please let us know by emailing help@hive.com

Hello Kelley
Will adding the Admin team mean that the admins become part of the group / project chat?
This may cause issues for some as it will increase the number of unnecessary notifications, and admins oftentimes only need access to the timing and resources used:

Kelley Bunge: I understand the need to inform users that Admins are being added to a project at the creation point. I wonder if there is another way of giving visibility to admins of the totality of the workspace without necessarily sharing all details of "private projects". As an Admin I would like to be able to ensure that projects are organized within the workspace correctly and that projects are not accidently marked private.

Alexandra Beizan-Diaz: We're going to move forward with giving admins the ability to see all projects in project navigator. Admins will not be able to open private projects but they will see that they are there and be able to ensure that all projects are organized correctly. Keep an eye on this post for more updates! :)

Counter point, what if admins were added by default, but users could remove them? I expect there are cases where users wouldn't want projects being made more public, and all admins might not need to know about the project details. We have HR projects and leadership planning projects that I know the larger organization shouldn't be peeking at.
