Send notification when project status changes

Project status is great to keep busy teams updated on the state of each project. When the status of one project is updated it would be nice to notify all members. Otherwise it might go unnoticed.

In the Hive Automate community library there is a recipe titled: "When Project is Updated, send Email" that should give you a good starting point for how to get this up and running. That recipe will send an email, but we also have other version that will send messages over Hive Chat, Slack, and Teams.
The recipe can be configured to only listen for Status updates when configuring the trigger. You can also customize the message it sends with information from the Project that was updated.

Our new app Hive Automate allows us to customize notifications to be sent like this! There are options for how you would like to receive notifications as well. Some examples of options that Hive Automate can perform are in-app, email, Hive Message, or Slack notification. What type of notifications would you like to see?

Gina Lockwood: My reaction would be email, but I know now that my team tends to tune out these types of emails.
In my opinion, Hive automate solves this more nicely than bundling project changes with actions, since people use the task list emails as a personal today list. It might be nice to have this as a pre-built recipe (I haven't tried to share recipes yet, but I believe that's possible)

Just to update, I've solved my team's email needs with Hive Automate. The workflow isn't perfectly refined, but functional.
A big issue with using Hive automate for this is a difficulty in "targeting" who gets the email. You can enter in manually, or do all project members, but anything in between is challenging from my understanding.
In short, I think this could be improved on from the Hive Automate solution or as a different tool to solve this need.
