Log Timesheet entries to Action Card

Please extend Timesheet form to allow users to: 1) select an Action Card to which to log time for the specified Project, 2) populate Timesheet with all time recorded to-date for specified Projects/Action Card for period selected, 3) record/update Action Card time to match what is submitted via Timesheet. (In short, synchronize what is shown in Timesheet with what is shown in Action Card, and vice versa. Allow users to enter time through Action Card, Timesheet or both with same results: time is recorded to Action Card.)

This would be great as our team DO use action cards to log time, but when timesheets are needed to be adjusted this way they can do it directly from the timesheets before submitting.

Allow users booking time by timesheet to associate it to a task

Currently when logging time by timesheet users can only select a project. It would be a huge improvement if they could also select individual tasks from the project.

Timesheets to show project, tasks and category

Currently to use the timesheet and approval process, you can only do this at the project level which prohibits project owners, managers from seeing the actual tasks the resources have worked on to know what you are approving and billing for. While the alternative of using the action card to enter time, it doesn't bring in the category in time-tracking so it's a manual process to pull the project, resources, tasks and know what is billable.
Could we simplify the process and pull the project, tasks, category into the timesheets to be a singular way to enter time for resources, approvals and grab all the reporting you may need without going to multiple places and manually pulling the information you need from different places? I tried to pull this out of analytics but couldn't do that successfully.

Our team has to use action cards to enter time because we have some contractors who need to track time to projects too and the reporting makes you choose action card or timesheets time. Either way, the analytics doesn't bring in enough project/task information in the analytics module in Hive or in the exports. Being able to export more project and assignment details from time analytics would be really helpful in addition to the above. Thanks!

Update time at action level in Timesheets

We have users working on multiple projects (which may have multiple actions!) Rather than them having to go into each individual project, it would be great if they could update at Action level in Timesheets!

This is a fantastic idea. The timesheet currently only shows projects that I've logged time to, but it doesn't distinguish which actions account for that time (if I've logged time to multiple tasks, it still only shows hours logged to the project). If each project was an accordion that expanded to show all of the actions I've already logged time to for the week, it would be much easier to quickly add hours throughout the day.

Patrick Kane: Additionally, it would be super helpful if your time would also populate back to the individual action card after entering them as you described above.

Patrick Kane: It would be amazing if we could select whether "all" actions in a project are displayed or only top-level actions or top-level actions + 1st-level subactions, etc.
