Action cards: Ability to mass follow or unfollow

In table view, it would be helpful to be able to select multiple actions > right click > and follow or unfollow them.

Kelley Bunge: Can you advise how you do this, are there any online notes? I am in table view but I can't see anything obvious to select/do to make this 'happen'. I have done a quick search through your articles for bulk follow / bulk unfollow but no obvious match. It would be good if you could add a link to any instructions alongside telling us a feature request has been completed.

Janine Dierks: Hi Janine! Hope you're well. Here's a quick breakdown of how to do this: https://hiveteams.canny.io/changelog/ability-to-mass-follow-or-unfollow-action-cards

Project Mass Follow

I would like the ability to mass follow either 1) every parent/top-level card in a project, and 2) every card in a project.
Much of what I do in monitoring our portfolio (as a PM), depends upon getting notifications for actions on cards that I am not assigned, have not been tagged on, and am not following by default after template creation. Currently, I have to open each and every card of each and every new project, to manually follow them, which is terribly inefficient, for something that could be automated.
Bonus Points: Transfer card follows from templates to new projects. I took the time to follow every card on our master templates. Unfortunately, when I create a new project from these templates, the Follow status doesn't transfer over.

This would be amazing. As a board creator, this is a huge pain as I have to unfollow every card individually - or leave the board completely, which I don't want to do.

This would be helpful in our organization due to some members within our organization using Hive as an informative software vs actively using. This would allow these members to follow the entirely of a specific project and get the active notifications of movement.

Thank you for this feedback!!

Thank you for the follow-up. Here's my use case, and current work-around:
I am the sole PM responsible for monitoring our company's entire onboarding portfolio (ie. Hive is my baby). We have 100+ projects with 450+ cards in them. Daily, I work my @tags, my card notifications, and I also work and clear my Activity Feed, as often important activity happens on cards where I am not @tagged and it is not my card. Of course, I only get the Activity Feed notifications if I happen to be following that card.
--It is my desire to follow every top-level card of every project in our portfolio (in Hive)
--It would also be fine to end up following every card
--I have tried manually following every top-level card on all of our templates, but upon project creation from the templates, the Follows are not preserved
--I naturally end up Following many cards as I assign and comment, but this is not a thorough covering. I depend on my Activity Feed to promptly move things along.
--It was also recommended that I ask folks to add me as a Follower on this card. This is not an option, as we don't want to add the extra tasks for folks (on the 45,000+ cards we have).
--So, recently, I have been manually opening every project, one by one, and then opening every top level card, one by one, and clicking the Follow button. This is the only way I know of to cast a thorough Follow net, but it is a HUGE time-sink, and should be more automated/configurable.
If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks
